At the Multipurpose Integrated Developmental Society (MINDS Trust), we believe that skill development is essential for both personal and economic growth in today’s competitive job market. Since 2013, our MINDS Skill Development Academy (MSDA) has been empowering individuals in Tamil Nadu and beyond through comprehensive training programs in technical and vocational skills, as well as essential soft skills such as communication and leadership.
In partnership with over 380 NGOs across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, we address the diverse skill development needs of unemployed youth and women. Our initiatives focus on poverty alleviation, child development, women’s empowerment, education for underprivileged children, health and environmental sustainability, rural development, and elderly care. By offering vocational training tailored to marginalized groups, we aim to boost self-confidence and employability, paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
Our MACRO IMPACT

At MINDS, we are dedicated to supporting underprivileged and unemployed youth through various skill programs sponsored by the Central Government, State Government, and corporate CSR initiatives. Our skill training programs are expertly managed by Subject Matter Experts, skilled Industrial professionals, and trainers at the MSDA.
The academy specifically focuses on empowering underprivileged youth from diverse rural backgrounds. Our primary objective is to create sustainable livelihoods, uplift young individuals, and combat poverty in India. To achieve this, we offer skill development training in sectors such as Healthcare, IT/ITes, BFSI, Automotive, Logistics, and Agriculture.

Women Entrepreneurs’ Consortium
Women Entrepreneurs’ Consortium An initiative of MINDS Trust, the Women Entrepreneurs’ Consortium (WEC) is dedicated to empowering women across various domains and fostering sustainable livelihoods. We began our journey in Madambakkam, Chennai, with a vision to establish chapters every 5 kilometres, bringing together women entrepreneurs to form supportive communities focused on collective business growth.
This approach aims to enhance the livelihoods and economic stability of local communities while nurturing new entrepreneurs from the age of 18. Our efforts extend beyond community engagement; we also prioritize the development of young women in higher education. We encourage college students to acquire practical skills such as nail art, mehndi, or Aari work, enabling them to earn while they study.
WEC provides vocational training programs specifically designed for women from low-income backgrounds.
Our training covers a wide range of fields, including:
Candle, Agarbathi, and Incense stick making
Phenyl and detergent production
Tailoring & Embroidery
Masala powder, pickle, and jam making
Beekeeping
Mushroom Cultivation
Rabbit rearing
Basket weaving
Fibre extraction
At the end of our vocational training programs, we award certificates to all participants. Additionally, WEC offers support to help candidates secure MSME loans to kickstart their businesses. We also organize exhibition stalls where candidates can showcase and sell their products.
Our upcoming Women Entrepreneur projects include:
- E-Food Cart
